A Change in Direction

I've been a little sad lately (yes even during wonderful Valentines Day). In the last week, I've received two (2) rejections for art shows and the craft fair I was trying to put together came to a forever halt when hidden FEES presented themselves just before signing the paperwork. At first, I let it get to me - it even brought down V-day, for which my husband had to suffer somewhat. Now, I'm trying on a new attitude.

I'm taking the rejection as a sign that I'm just not ready yet. So, I'm taking a long break from trying to sell my art (my Etsy shop is on an indefinite vacation) and I'm going to focus on the art of life. I need to prepare my house for a couple of visits from friends and family this year and now that the weather is starting to warm up, I'm looking forward to getting out in the yard and beautifying that too.

I also want to focus more on my blog and finding joy in the everyday. This has been the best thing I've started in the last year and I love all the connections I've made! And of course, I still plan to create. I'm looking SO forward to 31 Days Creativity Challenge in March and will have the mindset to fully participate!

I feel good about this new direction, which tells me it's the right one. :-)

Peace, Love and Chocolate
