Today's the Day

Hello again!

The House
This is it - today's the day we close on our new [to us] house! I'm so stinkin' excited that I woke up at 5 am! {I'm not a morning person}

This house means so much to me. A new start for the hubster, my son and I, as a family. A new, dedicated space for creating my art. And all the land means we can grow gardens and maybe even have chickens someday!

Yep, I'm gonna be a farmer. Sort of...

Since moving to the South about 13 years ago (I'm originally from WA state), I've wanted the country wrap around porch and I'm finally getting it! I'm imaging sitting out there in the morning, sipping a cup of coffee before starting my day. And then sitting out there in the evening, sipping a glass of wine to relax.

But in between, there will be lots of work to get done. Sadly, the previous owners didn't take the best care of it, so it needs a lot of TLC to get it ship-shape! We're ready to do it. Because the best things in life do take work. But it's worth it, don't you think?

Peace, Love, and Chocolate
