Chocolate Saves Lives

You probably think that this post is going to be about an article I read touting the benefits of eating chocolate, backed-up by research from medical journals. Nope.

That was my Facebook status for last night:

Chocolate saves lives...

Why? Well, my 5 yr old was being, well five, and our new lab puppy was running around gathering anything and everything that wasn't a toy of his. I was on the verge of losing it, when I saw the jar of Hershey's Kisses, left over from Valentine's Day, on the counter. I popped a couple (maybe 4, okay, maybe 6) and the sweet calm that only chocolate delivers came over me. And I was able to redirect both puppy and child without any casualties.

I'm sure some nutritionists and possibly therapists would say that I should not eat anything at  a moment like that, rather discover what lies underneath the anxiety I'm feeling, so that I don't emotionally overeat in the future.

But, they probably don't have kids and/or dogs. *smile*

Peace, Love and Chocolate
