Art at My Speed and WOYWW 122

Hello!

Here is my workdesk today:

I checked out Pam Carricker's book Art at the Speed of Life from my local library and I have to say, I'm LOVING it!  In her book she gives great tips on how to produce more art daily and one is to work on multiple projects at once. So, I'm giving it a try. I've read on other blogs of artists doing this, but it just didn't register with me until I read it in Pam's book. It makes sense though...

Here's a pic of the book...

There are inspiring projects inside from some awesome artists! As soon as I can, I'm going to purchase this one. [I'm living life on a budget until all our house stuff is straightened out!]

For more awesome projects and work spaces, check out Julia's blog, Stamping Ground!

  1. Great front cover of that book - I think it's great your library had it! It's an interesting concept, creating more than one thing at a time, but definitely worth a shot! I do that when I'm making bunting, it's less time consuming.. Have a great week :)

  2. Hey there, Joyce - thank you so much for becoming a follower *blushes*, I'm really happy about that!! But, I really have to ask, exactly how do you use green split peas in your artwork?? I'm intrigued - you need to show what you do with them! Perhaps we could set up a new strand - 'Pleasing Pulses' maybe or 'Lovely Lentils'or even 'Aduki Art'. Oh, I could have fun making these up all night (I know, that IS a bit sad really :D) Happy crafting!!

  4. You've got a great library...how nice that they carry such current books as that! I purchased that book, and didn't get super-inspired my first time through it. I have definite plans to revisit, though; sometimes it's just my mood, and I have to try again later!

  5. Very impressive - funny how one person's words really hit the spot! I'm a one job at a time gal and it gives me blinkers; taken me ages to recognise this, so now have a long haul to the 'more than one thing on the go'!
